There was a time when everything felt like it was crumbling.

Love, family, life and work were taking their toll.

My face still looked happy, but the pain wouldn't move or shift.

My thoughts became dark.

Eventually, I reached out.

Friends travelled from Wales just to see me.

They couldn't take the pain away.

But they reminded me I wasn't alone.

Sometimes the first step upwards is letting someone reach you.
