You're Gonna Be Somebody

YOU'RE GONNA BE SOMEBODY

Clay: Paper Clay Porcelain

Easton had its own “bag man”.

One day, walking with friends, we started calling him names.

I joined in because I wanted to fit in.

Then he pointed at me.

“You!”

“Why are you hanging around with these guys?”

Then he said:

“You're gonna be somebody!”

I stopped dead.

Those words stayed with me. I went on to study for over 10 years and this piece represents bookends and the quest for knowledge.

Sometimes the person you least expect can see something in you before you can see it yourself.
